CIB Portland - Spooky Tricks
As an admin of a local skate group, I often like to engage with local skaters on social media via games and contests. For Halloween 2020, I thought it would be fun to center a game around some tricks with very Halloween-like names: Boneless, Coffin, UFO and Slasher Grind were a few.

To promote the contest, I gathered a group of skaters together dressed in typical halloween clothes and we shot a video and photo series. We then partnered with a few local shops to give away some skate prizes and for two weeks, accepted entries in the form of completed tic tac toe boards and videos. We ended up getting great engagement online and were able to make skaters who weren’t able to come to our meetups due to Covid feel included.
